Dr. Lindsy Lawrence is a Professor and Department Chair of English Rhetoric and Writing and Media Communication at the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith. She holds a Ph.D. in English from Texas Christian University (2008), an M.A. from Southern Methodist University (2002), and a B.A. in English and Secondary Education from Schreiner University (1999). A 2023 Lucille Speakman Master Teacher Award recipient, her expertise spans Victorian literature, digital humanities, cultural studies, and periodical pedagogy.
Her research focuses on 18th- and 19th-century British literature, particularly Frances Hodgson Burnett’s transatlantic serial fiction, Elizabeth Gaskell, and Neo-Victorian adaptations in modern media like Doctor Who.
