Linda Riek

Linda Riek is an Associate Professor and Director of the Movement Analysis Laboratory at Nazareth College's Department of Physical Therapy. Her roles include academic leadership, clinical research, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

• Education: BS in Physical Therapy (Ithaca College), DPT (A.T. Still University), PhD in Health Practice Research (University of Rochester)

Research focuses on biomechanical analysis of upper extremities and trunk function in individuals with spinal injury, limb loss, and stroke. Her work integrates electromyography-guided exercise protocols and non-pharmacological pain management strategies. She has contributed to peer-reviewed journals including Spinal Cord and Archives of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Grant activity includes co-investigator roles on projects funded by the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation, Spinal Cord Research Foundation, and NIH. Her lab specializes in translational research bridging clinical practice and biomechanical innovation.
