Linda Jacobsen

Linda Jacobsen serves as an Adjunct Instructor and Field Supervisor at California Lutheran University, a role she has held for three years. She brings 44 years of specialized educational experience from her retirement at Las Virgenes Unified School District, where she taught students with multiple disabilities, vision impairments, deaf and hard of hearing conditions, and extensive needs.

Her professional focus centers on Special Education, Vision Impairment, and Deaf Education, driven by a mission to support, motivate, and expand learning experiences through authentic relationships that foster leadership and community connections. She emphasizes inclusive practices for students with complex disabilities.

Prior to her university role, Ms. Jacobsen served as Principal at the Foundation for the Junior Blind for four years and contributed as a technical consultant for vision-related content on the television series "Little House on the Prairie".
