Linas Rupšlaukis

Linas Rupšlaukis serves as Lecturer at the Department of Wind and Percussion Instruments of the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre (LMTA), teaching Trumpet Specialisation, Orchestral Parts, Wind Quintets, and Brass/Wind Orchestra rehearsals. An internationally recognized trumpeter and composer, he performs as soloist and conductor with major ensembles across Europe.

His academic foundation includes studies at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, Göteborg Högskolan för scen och musik (Sweden), Conservatorio di Musica Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina (Italy), and Vilnius University.

Mr. Rupšlaukis's creative work centers on advanced trumpet performance, brass ensemble pedagogy, and contemporary composition for wind orchestras. His repertoire spans traditional orchestral works to original compositions like The Gambler (2017), Oumuamua (2019), and To the Next Century (2020), demonstrating mastery in both performance practice and innovative scoring techniques.

As an educator since 2017, he has guided students to nine international awards across Lithuania, Latvia, and Switzerland. His professional activities integrate academic instruction with active performance as artist of the Trimitas Lithuanian State Wind Orchestra, where he contributes to both educational and professional music ecosystems through solo performances, conducting, and composition.
