About
Lin Xiaoqing is a full-time Research Fellow at the Institute of Biochemistry, Academia Sinica. With a Ph.D. and Master's in Pharmacy from National Taiwan University and a B.Sc. from Taipei Medical University, they have focused their career on the isolation, identification, and biosynthesis of natural products for drug discovery.
Research Interests include:
- Structural diversity and pharmacological potential of natural products
- Gene and protein-level biosynthesis mechanisms
- Exploration of "silent" gene clusters via bioinformatics and genome mining
- Combinatorial biosynthesis through heterologous expression
Their recent publications emphasize the role of terpene cyclases, cytochrome P450 enzymes, and gene cluster analysis in fungal and mushroom-derived compounds with potential therapeutic applications.
Lin Xiaoqing's laboratory website provides further details on their interdisciplinary research at https://sites.google.com/site/hsiaochinglab/home.
