Lin Liu is Professor and Graduate Director in the Department of Geography at the University of Cincinnati's College of Arts and Science. He serves as Co-Director of the Joint Center for GIS and Spatial Analysis, overseeing research initiatives and graduate education.
His research spans spatial interaction modeling, crime pattern analysis, geographic visualization, and environmental applications of GIS. Dr. Liu has secured over $1.5 million in research funding from agencies including the NSF and EPA, supporting projects on urban crime patterns, land use classification, and environmental health impacts.
