Lin Lin

Dr. Lin Lin is a Professor and Program Coordinator of Engineering, Computer Science, and Technology at Middlesex Community College. She has held roles such as Interim Division Director of the Allied Health, Business, and STEM Division (2015–2017) and serves as Site Coordinator of the CT College of Technology Consortium and NASA CT Space Grant Consortium. Her leadership includes advising the MxCC Robotics Club and co-advising Phi Theta Kappa's Beta Gamma Xi chapter, which achieved Five Star Level status and national recognitions. Dr. Lin has extensive committee experience, including chairing the General Education Assessment Committee and TAP STEM Committee.

Dr. Lin earned her Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Connecticut and previously worked as a senior engineer at United Technologies Research Center, contributing to six patents and research on multi-target tracking algorithms. Her current research focuses on health equity communication, political advertising analysis, and public health policy. She has managed significant grants, including NSF Small Business Innovation Research grants and Perkins Grants, and received prestigious awards like the Board of Regents System-Wide Teaching Award.

Her research interests span robotics, STEM education leadership, and the intersection of health policy with communication strategies. Recent work examines disparities in healthcare access, pandemic communication, and the impact of political messaging on public perception.
