Lily Frank is an Assistant Professor of Philosophy and Ethics at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), specializing in biomedical ethics, ethics of technology, and moral psychology. Her research focuses on intersections of applied ethics (e.g., reproductive ethics, artificial uterus technology) and metaethics, exploring topics like moral expertise and technology-driven moral progress. She holds affiliations with the 4TU Center for Ethics and Technology and the EAISI Foundational and EAISI Health research groups.
Education: BA from Smith College (Philosophy & Economics), PhD in Philosophy (2014, CUNY Graduate Center). Former Ethics Fellow at Icahn School of Medicine and faculty member at Hunter College and Queens College (CUNY).
Research Interests: Her work addresses technology’s impact on morality, including AI ethics, digital health empowerment, and the ethical implications of emerging technologies like conversational agents in mental healthcare. She advocates for interdisciplinary approaches to ethical challenges posed by robotics, biotechnology, and digital systems.
