Lillie Webb

Dr. Lillie Webb serves as the Director of BU Global House, a living-learning community at Boston University fostering immersive language learning and intercultural exchange. She is also a Senior Lecturer in French within the Department of Romance Studies. Her roles include overseeing the Global House initiative in Myles Standish Hall and teaching French language and literature.

Education: She holds a B.A. in French and English Literature from Bennington College, and both an M.A. and Ph.D. in French Language & Literature from Boston University. Her academic excellence was recognized through the Certificate for Excellence in Teaching during her graduate studies.

Research focuses on depictions of women, power, sexuality in 19th-century French literature/art, mechanisms of identity construction, and intercultural frameworks. She pioneered the BU Romance Studies Graduate Student Conference as a student.
