Lilli Mittner is an Associate Professor at the Center for Women's and Gender Research at UiT The Arctic University of Norway. Her work focuses on gendered expressions, aging/dementia studies, Arctic humanities, and arts-based methodologies. Since 2014, her research increasingly engages with Arctic contexts, including coordinating the Center for Arctic Humanities since 2023.

Her work emphasizes qualitative methods such as diffractive analysis, ethnography, and situated art interventions. Current research integrates agential realism and multisensorial approaches to reimagine dementia care and academic practices.
