Lili Cui

Lili Cui is a Teaching Professor in the Department of Physics at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) within the College of Natural and Mathematical Sciences. She joined UMBC in 2006, was promoted to Senior Lecturer in 2014, and became Principal Lecturer in 2021. Cui holds a PhD in Physics from Kansas State University and a BS from Xuzhou Normal University in China.

Her professional focus is physics education research, specifically investigating student learning difficulties in physics and developing innovative teaching methods. She collaborates with colleagues to implement pedagogical innovations in introductory physics courses and is dedicated to enhancing student learning experiences in foundational physics education.
