Lijun Zhao

Dr. Lijun (Liz) Zhao is a tenured Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in Corporate and Commercial Law at The City Law School, City, University of London. She directs the Academic Visitor Programme and serves on the Research Ethics Committee.

Recent publications address AI Regulation, Maritime Labour Standards, and Global Trade Governance. She bridges China-EU Legal Perspectives through empirical studies and comparative analyses.

As academic director of CECCA, she facilitates East-West collaboration through grants from Erasmus+ and Higher Education Innovation Funding. She supervises PhD students in areas like Multinational Transport Law and Arbitration, and chairs international conferences on Maritime Cyber Security and Green Shipping.
