Lijun Yang is an Assistant Professor of Sociology and Public Policy at the School of Social Development and Public Policy, Beijing Normal University.
His educational background includes a BA in English (with a minor in Business Economics) from Beijing Foreign Studies University, followed by an MA in Sociology from the University of Akron and a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Yang's research focuses on early labor market entry and mobility, family formation processes, and how young adult attainment and trajectories are shaped by various aspects of socioeconomic development and policy in China's path to modernization. He maintains a strong interest in developing theories and methods for longitudinal studies.
