About
Liisa Raud is a Research Fellow at the University of Oslo's Department of Cognitive and Clinical Neuroscience, affiliated with the Centre for Lifespan Changes in Brain and Cognition. She holds a PhD from the University of Oslo (2020), an MSc in Neurocognitive Psychology from the University of Oldenburg (2015), and a BA in Psychology from the University of Tartu (2010).
Her research focuses on lifespan changes in sleep patterns, memory performance, and brain structure/function. Methodologically, she integrates EEG, EMG, and MRI to study cognitive control mechanisms, particularly response inhibition and memory consolidation. Her work bridges electrophysiological and neuroimaging modalities to understand aging effects on neural networks.
Her recent articles explore hippocampal-cortical interactions during memory processes, age-related differences in brain connectivity, and the role of sleep deprivation in cognitive control. She has contributed to debates on inhibitory control markers and task-specific neural mechanisms.
