Libby Eufemio is an Assistant Professor in Alutiiq Studies at Kodiak College, part of the University of Alaska system. Born and raised in Alaska, she holds undergraduate and Master's degrees in Anthropology from the University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF). She has resided in Kodiak for 23 years and leads the Alutiiq Studies Program, focusing on cultural preservation and language revitalization.
Her academic roles include teaching Anthropology and Alaska Native Studies courses. She actively promotes the Alutiiq Language Open Educational Community (OEC), encouraging students and community members to engage in language revitalization efforts.
