Lianghui Lei is a Lecturer and Subject Area Leader at the Huddersfield Business School within the School of Business, Education and Law at the University of Huddersfield. He joined in 2014 and holds a PhD in International Business from Loughborough University (UK), an MSc in Marketing and Management (Distinction), and a BA in English (Translation and Cultural Studies) from Guangzhou University (China).
His research focuses on Cross-Cultural Management and Cultural Intelligence, exploring topics like expatriate adaptation, generational cultural differences, and cross-cultural negotiation strategies. He employs configurational approaches and experimental methods in his studies. Current projects include analyzing cultural intelligence effectiveness for expatriates and the impact of entrepreneurial ecosystems on women’s entrepreneurship.
Lianghui teaches undergraduate and postgraduate modules including Managing Across Cultures and The Global Professional. He actively supervises PhD candidates and has presented at major conferences such as the Academy of International Business. His work has been published in journals like the International Journal of Human Resource Management and Journal of Business Research.
