Liam Joynt is a Lecturer of Acting and Associate Chair of the BFA Acting Program at the Conservatory of Theater Arts, Purchase College. He also serves as a longstanding faculty member at NYU Tisch School of the Arts' Graduate Acting Program, where he teaches voice and vocal coaching, and instructs accents at Pace University’s Musical Theater BFA program. He co-founded the Miller Voice Method Studio and is a Certified Teacher of Knight-Thompson Speech and Accent Work. Previously, he taught at Marymount Manhattan College, Fairleigh Dickinson University, and Maggie Flanigan Studio. Joynt holds an MFA in Acting from Rutgers University’s Mason Gross School of the Arts and a BA from Union College.

His research and teaching focus on voice and speech techniques, vocal coaching for actors, and accents/dialects in performance. He has extensive experience in theater, film, and television, including roles in Off-Broadway productions, regional theater, and both high-budget and independent films. Joynt has also produced world premiere plays by notable playwrights such as Pulitzer Prize finalist Lee Blessing and Lia Romeo.
He is affiliated with the Miller Voice Method Studio and continues to advocate for innovative approaches to vocal training in acting education.
