Liam Downey

Liam Downey serves as Associate Professor of Sociology at the University of Colorado Boulder with Faculty Associate roles in the Environmental Studies Program and Institute of Behavioral Science.

His academic foundation includes a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Arizona (2000).

Research centers on two critical domains: First, elite-controlled institutions' role in environmental/social harm—examining policy networks, state violence, commodity chains, and global bodies like the World Bank (Inequality, Democracy, and the Environment).
