Li Chen is a Professor in the College of Business at Delaware State University (DSU). He holds a Ph.D. in Sport Administration from Springfield College, an MBA in Finance and Marketing from the University of Baltimore, and master’s and undergraduate degrees in Physical Education and Sport Management. His research focuses on consumer behavior in sport, sport marketing strategies, and human resources management within athletic organizations. Dr. Chen has published extensively on topics such as NCAA coaching evaluations, physical education policy, and the application of technology in fitness tracking.
His professional memberships include the North America Society for Sport Management (NASSM), SHAPE America, and the Alliance for Sport Business. He has received notable awards, including the Outstanding Professional Service Award from ICSPAH and an Academic Achievement Award from National Who’s Who.
Dr. Chen teaches courses such as Sport Management, Sport Marketing, and Coaching Practicum. His work often bridges theoretical research with practical applications in higher education and professional sport settings.
