Lewis Ford

Lewis Ford is Professor and Associate Department Head in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Texas A&M University. His research examines physics education methodologies and gender performance differences in STEM education.

Recent work analyzes student responses to pandemic-induced changes in physics instruction and investigates gender-based performance gaps in introductory physics courses. His research contributes to understanding equitable teaching practices in large university settings.

Current projects focus on optimizing online and blended learning approaches for physics education and addressing systemic factors contributing to gender performance disparities.
