Lewis Colburn is an Associate Professor and Department Head of Art & Art History at Drexel University's Westphal College of Media Arts & Design. An artist and educator based in Philadelphia, he specializes in sculpture and installation works that merge digital and manual methods to replicate historical objects.
Colburn holds a BA in Studio Art and Russian Language from St. Olaf College and an MFA in Sculpture from Syracuse University. His research interests include historical reinterpretation through contemporary practice, 3D scanning limitations, and socio-political commentary via material synthesis.
