Leticia Hosta Rigau

Leticia Hosta Rigau is an Associate Professor and Group Leader at the Department of Health Technology, Technical University of Denmark (DTU). Her work focuses on developing advanced biomaterials and nanomedicines for oxygen delivery systems, hemoglobin-based blood substitutes, and drug delivery technologies. She leads research in biomimetic carriers, including PEGylated nanoparticles and hydrogel-based buccal patches, aiming to address challenges in emergency transfusion and mucosal drug administration. Her projects span topics such as antioxidant protection in nanocarriers, MOF-based oxygen carriers, and shape-specific microgels for biomedical applications.
