Leslie Cullen

Leslie Cullen serves as an Adjunct Artist Affiliate in Music specializing in Flute at Bucknell University and concurrently holds a lecturer position in Flute at Lycoming College. With over 30 years of teaching experience beginning at age 15, she maintains an active performance career featuring appearances at The Kennedy Center, Ravinia Festival, The Kimmel Center, Avery Fisher Hall, Carnegie Recital Hall, Alice Tully Hall, and the Aspen Music Festival, focusing on collaborative small ensemble and chamber orchestra work.

Her educational background includes:

• Master of Music in Flute Performance from The Juilliard School
• Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance from Manhattan School of Music

Ms. Cullen's artistic practice centers on flute and piccolo performance within chamber music contexts, demonstrated through collaborations with the Paragon Ragtime Orchestra, Mozarteum Orchestra of Salzburg, and diverse chamber ensembles. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes reciprocal learning between educator and student, cultivated over three decades of instruction where she continues to find deep professional fulfillment.

A native Oklahoman, she has contributed to regional arts through service as Artist-In-Residence for the Oklahoma State Arts Council, bridging professional performance excellence with community engagement in music education.
