Lesley Abrams is a retired Professor of Early Medieval History affiliated with Balliol College, University of Oxford. Her research focuses on conversion to Christianity in early medieval Europe, particularly among the English and Scandinavians, and the broader Scandinavian world during the Viking Age. She employs interdisciplinary methods to study diaspora communities, integration, and material evidence such as place-names and stone sculptures.
