Leonardo Ravaioli

Dr. Leonardo Ravaioli is a researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Legal History and Legal Theory, specializing in philosophy of law and the legal history of the European Union. He holds a PhD in Philosophy of Law from the University of Roma Tre (2024), a Master’s in International Relations from the University of Bologna (2019), and a Bachelor’s in Economics from the same institution (2015).

His research focuses on constitutional pluralism, material constitutions, and the historical development of European legal thought. He was a visiting scholar at the Edinburgh Centre for Legal Theory and has received multiple scholarships, including the EPP Postgraduate Research Grant and a Dialogue Scholarship from the Max Planck Institute.
