Leonardo P. G. De Assis

Leonardo P. G. De Assis is a Lecturer at the School of Liberal Studies, San Francisco State University, and an instructor at Stanford Pre-Collegiate Studies. He holds a bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and Master/PhD degrees in Physics from the Brazilian Center for Research in Physics.

His interdisciplinary research spans theoretical physics, quantum computing, neurophysics, and artificial consciousness. He investigates the neural binding problem, seeking to model consciousness through quantum-like formalisms applied to cognition, neuroscience, and AI.
