Leon McCawley

Leon McCawley is a British pianist and Professor of Piano at the Royal College of Music. He studied at Chetham’s School of Music and the Curtis Institute of Music, and has performed globally at venues such as Vienna Musikverein and New York’s Lincoln Center.

Research Interests: McCawley’s career centers on Classical, Romantic, and 20th century piano repertoire, with a focus on expressive depth and technical precision. His performances emphasize Beethoven sonatas, Chopin’s works, and virtuosic interpretations of Franck and Liszt.
