Leon Bichmann

Leon Bichmann is an Associate Research Scientist at Yale School of Medicine's Center for Systems and Engineering Immunology (CSEI), part of the Immunobiology Department. He transitioned from chemistry/biochemistry to computer science and bioengineering, focusing on computational approaches to immunological questions. His PhD work at Eberhard-Karls University Tübingen (2021) addressed immune response diversity and therapeutic vaccines, leading to industry experience at BioNTech designing RNA vaccines. At Yale, he collaborates with TsangLab on groundbreaking systems immunology research.

Education: PhD in Computer Science & Immunology (Tübingen, 2021), MSc in Molecular Bioengineering (Technical University Dresden, 2015), BSc in Chemistry & Biochemistry (Ludwig-Maximilians University, 2013). Non-degree programs at UCSF, Toronto, and Yang-Ming University.
