Lene Larsen

Lene Larsen is an Associate Professor in the Department of People and Technology at Roskilde University, affiliated with the Learning, Education and Pedagogy (LEAP) Centre. Her work focuses on youth education systems, educational transitions, and policy impacts. She holds a PhD and has been actively involved in pedagogical programs for over a decade.

Research interests include youth educational choices, inclusion/exclusion dynamics, and learning environment design. Her studies explore how policy reforms affect marginalized youth and how educational cultures can better support student motivation and identity development.

Recent publications (2022-2024) emphasize psychosocial challenges in higher education, student belongingness, and counselor-student trust dynamics. Collaborations span Nordic institutions, with a focus on qualitative research methodologies.
