Lenard Kaye is Professor at University of Maine School of Social Work and Director of the Maine Center on Aging. He teaches advanced practice courses and gerontology certificates, with research focusing on health care and aging.
Author of 12 books and 135+ articles on topics including home health care, productive aging, and family caregiving. Pioneering work on older men's caregiving experiences has been widely cited. Directs ENCorps volunteer program and Safe Medicine Disposal initiative.
Honors include National Research Mentor for Hartford Geriatric Scholars, service on DHHS Advisory Committee, and editorial boards of Gerontological Social Work journals. Previously held positions at Bryn Mawr College and Columbia University.
