Lena van Doorn

Lena van Doorn is an Associate Professor in Gynecological Oncology at Erasmus University Medical Center. Her research focuses on preventive surgical interventions, cancer genetics, and improving patient outcomes through innovative therapies. She leads studies on risk-reducing salpingo-oophorectomy, immunotherapy for cervical neoplasias, and post-radiotherapy rehabilitation. Her work bridges surgical oncology with quality-of-life considerations. Collaborations include the Hereditary Breast and Ovarian Cancer Research Group Netherlands (HEBON).

Recent studies address arterial stiffness post-surgery, BRCA1/2 mutation carriers' carcinoma risks, and predicting lymph node metastases in vulvar cancers.
