Lena Steveker

Lena Steveker is an Assistant Professor in English Studies at the University of Luxembourg, affiliated with the Faculty of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences and the Department of Humanities. She is Vice-Head and Programme Director of the Doctoral School in Humanities and Social Sciences (DSHSS).

• Education: Doctoral degree from Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg, supported by Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes.

Her research focuses on early modern English drama, news cultures, and contemporary British fiction. She co-edits the 'Shakespeare Jahrbuch' and leads the German Association for the Study of British Cultures since 2023. Her current projects include collaborative practices in early modern drama and posthuman subjectivities in speculative fiction.

Steveker teaches courses in early modern studies, literary history, and contemporary British fiction. She has previously worked at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg, Universität des Saarlandes, Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen, and was a visiting research fellow at the University of Sussex.
