Lena Russomanno

Lena Russomanno is an Adjunct Lecturer in Political Science at Cumberland University, affiliated with The Millard and JJ Oakley School of Humanities, Education and the Arts. She contributes to teaching while maintaining professional roles in government and electoral processes.

Research Interests: Lena’s work focuses on governmental structures, legislative processes, and electoral systems. Her experience spans practical roles in state government, including service as a Bill Clerk in the Tennessee House of Representatives and work in election administration, reflecting her dedication to public policy and governance.

Professional Experience and Involvement: Beyond academia, Lena has served in the Tennessee General Assembly and the Secretary of State’s Division of Elections, assisting county commissions and voters. She is actively involved in community leadership, including a 4-year tenure as a Young Life leader at Station Camp High School.
