Lena O'Keefe

Lena O'Keefe, MD, is an Assistant Professor at the Yale School of Medicine, Department of Neurology, specializing in neurocritical care for life-threatening brain and spinal cord conditions, including strokes and subarachnoid hemorrhage.

• Completed a Master of Science in Neuroscience (2011) and MD (2017) at the University of Connecticut
• Residency in Neurology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston, MA
• Fellowship in Neurocritical Care at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center, Houston

Her research focuses on translational proteomics to understand protein changes in stroke and subarachnoid hemorrhage, integrating global health perspectives from her clinical work in Zambia. She is dedicated to patient care and family support during critical neurological events.
