About
Dr. Leila Khatami is a Professor of Mathematics at Union College. She earned her B.S. from Sharif University of Technology, followed by M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Tehran. Her office is located in Bailey Hall.
Her research specializes in commutative algebra with connections to algebraic geometry and homological algebra. Current investigations focus on algebraic combinatorics and representation theory approaches to problems involving pairs of commuting nilpotent matrices. This work connects abstract algebra with geometric structures and combinatorial patterns.
Dr. Khatami maintains active research exploring the intersection of these mathematical domains, seeking algebraic solutions to geometric problems through innovative combinations of combinatorial and representation-theoretic methods.
