About
Leif Veseth is Professor of Physics at the University of Oslo's Department of Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences. He completed his PhD at UiO in 1971 and became professor in 1993.
Research specializes in theoretical atomic/molecular physics, including ultracold atom collisions, molecular hyperfine structure, quantum control of diatomic systems, and Bose-Einstein condensation. Recent publications analyze optimal control theory for molecular transitions and hyperfine parameters in alkali dimers.
International collaborations include sabbaticals at UC Berkeley, University of Virginia, and University of Florence (LENS).
