Lei Wei

Lei Wei is an Associate Professor at the University of Central Florida (UCF), affiliated with the College of Engineering and Computer Science and the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. His work spans signal processing, telecommunications, and campus security technologies.

Research Interests
Lei Wei specializes in bio-logically inspired signal processing methodologies, modulation techniques, and error control coding frameworks. His wireless communications research intersects with homeland security applications, particularly campus emergency alert systems. A current NSF-funded project (Research Experiences for Teachers) explores practical integration of image and signal processing concepts into K-12 education, reflecting his commitment to pedagogical innovation.
