Lei Liu is an Honorary Research Fellow at the UCL School of Management and a Lecturer in Management at the University of Exeter Business School. She holds an M.Sc. in Management and Economics from the London School of Economics and a Ph.D. in Management Science (Organisations and Innovation) from UCL School of Management.

Her research focuses on interpersonal processes, particularly how collaborations innovate to solve societal problems and the impact of social networks on cognition, behavior, and organizational outcomes. She has explored NHS-third-sector partnerships as part of the UKRI-funded Cross-sector Innovations program.
