Lehman, Laurie R.

Laurie R. Lehman is an Associate Professor of Special Education in the Department of Teaching and Learning at Long Island University’s Brooklyn Campus. She holds a Ph.D. in Special Education from New York University, an M.A. in Child Development from Arizona State University, and a B.A. in Psychology and Geography from Clark University. Since 1992, she has taught undergraduate and graduate courses such as Lives of Children, Perspectives on Disability, and The Developing Child, emphasizing inclusive education and innovative pedagogy.
