Leendert Looijenga is a Professor of Translational Patho-Oncology at Erasmus MC, Rotterdam, and a Professor of Translational Germ Cell Oncology and Escapeability at UMC Utrecht since 2023. He serves as Groupleader and Managing Director Research at the Princess Máxima Center for Pediatric Oncology (2018–present), focusing on improving diagnosis and treatment for pediatric, adolescent, and young adult germ cell tumor (GCT) patients to enhance long-term quality of life.
