Dr. Lee Swanson is an Associate Professor of Management and Marketing at the Edwards School of Business, University of Saskatchewan. He holds an EdD (University of Calgary), MBA (University of Saskatchewan), and B.Comm (University of Saskatchewan). His research focuses on entrepreneurship, social entrepreneurship, Aboriginal entrepreneurship, community capacity-building, and institutional-stakeholder engagement, particularly in Northern Saskatchewan and Scandinavia.
His work is funded by a SSHRC grant exploring social and economic capacity-building in Northern regions. Key themes include Indigenous partnerships with resource companies, university entrepreneurship centers, and entrepreneurial attitudes. He teaches MBA and upper-year entrepreneurship courses, including venture development and business planning.
