Lee Jenkins

Lee M. Jenkins is Senior Lecturer in English at University College Cork, specializing in modernist poetry, Caribbean literature, and transnational studies. Her research examines transatlantic connections between Irish, American and Caribbean literary traditions.

Education:
PhD from University of Cambridge (1991), Junior Research Fellow at Darwin College Cambridge.

Research Focus:
Major interests include: 1) D.H. Lawrence's American connections; 2) Wallace Stevens' transatlantic poetics; 3) Caribbean-Irish literary intersections; 4) Frederick Douglass in Ireland. Authored monographs on Wallace Stevens, Caribbean poetry, and D.H. Lawrence.

Professional Service:
Editorial board member for The Wallace Stevens Journal, executive committee member of D.H. Lawrence Society of North America. Organized conferences on Irish-Caribbean connections and modernist poetry.
