Lee Cubis

Dr. Lee Cubis is an Adjunct Research Fellow in the Department of Speech Pathology at La Trobe University. His research focuses on improving support systems for individuals with chronic illnesses, disabilities, and neurological conditions. Key areas include Multiple Sclerosis (MS) management, social participation barriers for people with physical disabilities, and the psychosocial impact of brain tumors on patient well-being.

His work emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration and evidence-based practices. Recent studies explore hospital discharge processes for individuals with complex needs, the feasibility of telehealth interventions for brain tumor survivors, and frameworks prioritizing human rights in disability services. Cubis contributes to policy development through qualitative metasyntheses and scoping reviews, aiming to bridge gaps between clinical practice and patient outcomes.
