Lee Anna Maynard is an Associate Professor at Augusta University, affiliated with the Pamplin College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences and the Department of English & World Languages. She holds a Ph.D. and MA in English Language and Literature from the University of South Carolina and a BA in the same field from the University of Georgia.
Her research focuses on literary pedagogy, children’s literature, and interactive teaching methods, particularly through her publication on using RTTP (Reacting to the Past) in educational settings. She has served on multiple departmental and university-level committees, including the Departmental Bylaws Task Force and the University Curriculum and Academic Policies Committee.
Lee has been actively involved in professional service, including roles as Vice President, President/Elect/Past, and Executive Board Member of the College English Association. She has also mentored students in CURS presentations and participated in public service initiatives like the Richmond County READS event.
