Learon Bird holds the position of Pro Tem Instructor at the University of Oregon School of Law, teaching Negotiations and Business Associations courses at the Portland campus. He graduated from the University of Washington in 2006 with a B.S. in Business Administration (Finance & Accounting) and earned his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 2009.
Professionally, Bird has worked in litigation, corporate law, and regulatory matters. He practiced in Wilmington, Delaware, handling finance, M&A, bankruptcy, and employment litigation. Later, he served in the City of Portland’s Debt Management Division, overseeing a $3.1B debt portfolio, and contributed to SEC regulatory actions, FINRA arbitrations, and internal investigations through the Bates Group. Currently, he is an Associate at Jordan Ramis PC in Portland.
His expertise spans corporate law, securities regulation, litigation, and financial compliance. Bird combines legal education with over a decade of legal practice in complex commercial matters and public finance.
