Leah Shipton is a Term Instructor at Simon Fraser University's School of Public Policy. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Health Sciences from the University of Calgary and a Master of Public Health from the University of Toronto. Her interdisciplinary research focuses on the politics of health policy processes across governance scales, particularly at the intersection of global health and environmental issues.
Her research integrates global health governance, environmental politics, and disability studies. Prior to joining SFU, she co-founded a mental health nonprofit and held positions at the Public Health Agency of Canada, World Health Organization, and Aga Khan University.
