Leah Bergman

Leah Bergman is a Full Professor in the Department of Physics at the College of Science, University of Idaho, specializing in UV spectroscopy, luminescent materials, and Raman scattering. Her research focuses on wide-bandgap semiconductors and their optical and phonon properties.

• Education: Ph.D. in Materials Science & Engineering (1995), North Carolina State University

Her research interests include the optical properties of thin films, defect dynamics in semiconductors, bandgap engineering, and phonon behavior in nanostructures. She has extensively studied MgZnO and Ga2O3 materials for UV applications.
