Lawrence D. Cohn is Professor Emeritus in the Department of Psychology at the University of Texas at El Paso's College of Liberal Arts. He holds a PhD from Washington University and specializes in personality development, adolescent risk-taking, and injury prevention.
His research examines psychological maturity, meta-analytic methods, health behaviors, and intervention programs. Current interests include adolescent risk perception, fatalism, medication adherence, and evidence-based public health interventions.
Publications reflect methodological diversity including meta-analyses, longitudinal studies, and community-based trials. Recent work focuses on health communication, substance use interventions, and traffic safety programs targeting Hispanic communities.
