Lawreen Yakkel

Lawreen Yakkel is an Adjunct Associate Professor in Film at the Graduate Film program, with over 30 years of experience in film, television, and commercial production. She has held executive roles at MTV, Giants Entertainment, and Damn Good Entertainment. Her notable works include line-producing Willy’s Wonderland (starring Nicolas Cage) and producing The Show (SXSW premiere, featuring Josh Duhamel, Famke Janssen, Sarah Wayne Callies, and James Franco), directed by Giancarlo Esposito. Her faith-based film Dead Man Rising won multiple awards, including Best Director and Best Screenplay. Current projects include producing Glutton, Dead Man Rising 2, God’s Waiting Room, A Shroud Lifted, and Obituary Boys.

She teaches FILM-210-01: Line Prod & Prod Mgmt, sharing expertise in production management and line production. Her career spans diverse genres and formats, emphasizing hands-on industry experience and creative leadership.
