Laurie Anderson Sathe, EdD, is a Professor and Program Director for the Master of Arts in Holistic Health Studies (MAHS) and Holistic Health Studies Certificate programs. Her roles focus on integrating holistic perspectives into education and health. She holds a Doctorate of Educational Leadership from the University of St. Thomas (Minnesota, 2004).
Her research explores holistic transformative pedagogy, narrative/listening theories, and creativity’s role in healing. Notable projects include the Assistantship Mentoring Program (2017–present), emphasizing community work and learning through collaborative projects with colleagues like Drs. Prinster, Pettigrew, and Robicheau.
Dr. Sathe teaches courses such as Culture as a Resource in Health and Healing and Organizing for Social Change, blending global health perspectives with leadership development. She has received the Opus Prize (2024) for community impact work. Active in professional networks, she is a member of the National Association of Poetry Therapy and serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Transformative Education.
